I could string a bunch of words here and tell you about me, make it simple, uncomplicated. How, I’m a domestic violence, sexual abuse survivor, rescuing animals the way I wished someone had rescued me. It’s dark, right? I could tell you stories about growing up Indigenous with a Cherokee mother and a German father. How blood boils a family whole before her religion and his alcohol devour what’s left. No, it’s not all jagged edges. It’s quite possible to survive the monsters in human guise and turn out alright.
